In the new millennium the Brockton Point Cricket Club amended its Constitution to include as one if its objectives:
"to promote, advance and encourage the cultural diversity within local cricketing communities from the British Commonwealth of Nationalities."
In 1999 the club in conjunction with BCCA hosted a 25- over cricket tournament July 31, August 1& 2 at Brockton Point in Stanley Park featuring the cricket and cultural elements form the local South Asian, West Indian, African, European, Australian and New Zealand communities.
King Cobra Cricket Tournament Rules
1) Hours of play:
Game 1~9.45-1:00
Game 2~1:00-4.15
Game 3~4:15-7:30
2) Overs:
25 overs maximum per team
5 overs maximum per bowler
penalty applies to late over rate
same number of overs to be bowled by each team at the umpires discretion
3) Time:
over reduction penalty applies to any team with late start.5 minutes between each inning.
1st inning to be completed by:
~11:15 game 1
~ 2:30 game 2
~ 5:45 game 3
4) Bowlers run up:
12 yard limit on bowlers run up. To be marked.
5) Extras:
'wides' and 'no balls' will count as minimum 2 runs. no extra ball to be bowled
6) Inner circle:
inner circle fielding rules apply for first 8 overs
7) Ties:
ties to be setteled as per league rules

tie breaker to decide the finalists as follows:
a. round robin game between teams concerned
b. round robin run rate (overall)
